B4.5 Generator

Global power technology leader Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) is excited to announce the launch of the Marine Diesel Cummins Turbo (MDCT) genset. This robust genset can be fitted with either the low or high kW Cummins B4.5 auxiliary engine, giving genset ratings of 40 kWe - 80 kWe and 80 kWe - 110 kWe respectively. The MDCT generator set is available for orders now with estimated delivery in late 2023.

This powerful genset pairing is small but mighty and available in both 50 Hz and 60 Hz models. Using the Cummins Onan Digital Display, this genset provides user-friendly diagnostics including extensive engine and alternator information, ensuring customer ease on the water. The MDCT genset is available for both commercial and recreational marine applications and compliant with EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage V regulations.

"The MDCT generator set offers our commercial and recreational marine customers a power-dense, light weight option to meet the needs of their applications. With the integration of the Cummins B4.5 auxiliary engine, customers can have peace of mind that their genset is backed by our worldwide service network," said Michael A. LeNeave, Global Marine Product Manager. He added, "The option of a low or high kW auxiliary engine with this genset offers unique flexibility for our customers' operations. We anticipate the MDCT will be a safe choice for those requiring a lighter genset without compromising on durability and fuel economy."

Cummins is confident in the reliability of their engines and generator sets. The MDCT genset comes with a base warranty of five years or 2,000 hours. All of Cummins Onan Marine generators are backed by Cummins’ extensive network of more than 9,000 service and dealer locations around the globe. Learn more about Cummins generators.
