Over a century of serving our customers

In August 2022, Cummins Inc. acquired Meritor, Inc. Since then, the integration of Meritor's people, technology and capabilities positions Cummins as one of the few companies offering fully integrated powertrain solutions. Now a business unit within the Components segment, Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems continues to offer Meritor branded solutions across combustion and electric power applications.

Dependable drivetrain solutions
As North America’s leading source of aftermarket parts for commercial vehicles, our Aftermarket group takes after-the-sale support as very serious business.
Our extensive axle portfolio includes front-drive and non-drive axles as well as single, tandem and tridem rear-axles for markets in North and South America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
We are the global braking leader both in size and capability for the commercial vehicle industry, supplying braking systems for trucks, trailers, buses and coaches.
Carriers are the heart of every Cummins-Meritor axle. Suitable for axles with a gross axle weight from 3-18 tons and gross combination weight from 9-100 tons, each carrier is fabricated in-house.
Moving past your competition is the power Cummins-Meritor offers. Our drivelines are a perfect example of the edge customers get with our products. These drivelines link transmissions and drive axles for trouble-free driving.
Cummins-Meritor gearboxes, split-shaft power take-off units, creeper drives and power dividers are especially suited for severe-duty, high-mobility, high-torque, all-wheel drive configurations for a broad range of applications.
Cummins-Meritor is a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision-forged gears. We offer gear solutions used in a majority of Class 5-8 commercial vehicles manufactured in North America and worldwide.
Our suspension systems use advanced technology to set new standards in ride, handling and tire life. The heavy-duty suspension family boasts a durable design to meet the needs of the most demanding vocations.
Equipped on more than 1 million trailers, the Meritor® Tire Inflation System (MTIS™) helps keep tires properly inflated to reduce wear and increase fuel economy.
Our transfer cases offer excellent durability and fit for multiple applications, including medium- and heavy-duty trucks for off- and on-highway, agricultural machinery, mining equipment and defense platforms.
Extreme-duty vocational vehicles need an auxiliary transmission suited for a variety of on- and off-highway applications, including logging, mining, heavy haul, oil field and military.
