The Importance of Load Evaluation in Specifying Textile Company's Exact Needs

Cummins distributor Orient Energy Systems evaluated the load for Ahmad Jamal Textile Mills, providing an expert recommendation of the power system required.

When Cummins authorized distributor Orient Energy Systems (OES) was approached by a new customer, Ahmad Jamal Textile Mills, the customer came with a requirement of 50 kVA for their home's power needs and 200 kVA for their manufacturing unit. After meeting with the customer, OES brought in their in-house expert to evaluate the load. The application and project engineer determined that the load in fact required 100 kVA of power for the house and 160 kVA for the manufacturing operations.

OES supplied and installed 1 x Cummins C110D5 generator set and 1 x Cummins C175D5B generator set at the Ahmad Jamal Textile Mills owner's home and business in Faisalabad, Pakistan, providing prime power to keep the business and household operating at all times. A custom-built enclosure from OES fulfilled noise level requirements of 80-85 dB(A).

On-time delivery was a key requirement of the customer, and this was met by OES and Cummins with timely delivery at the site as per the committed time line. The customer was afforded extra value and peace of mind through Cummins extended warranty program.
