Cummins Launches Connected Diagnostics™
Last month, Cummins announced additional details surrounding Connected Diagnostics™, the first application within the Connected Solutions suite that has been designed to work seamlessly with leading telematics providers.
Cummins Connected Solutions is an innovative group of products that utilize the connection of a Cummins electronic engine to a vehicle's on-board telematics system. Using telematics, your Cummins-powered equipment wirelessly connects your engine to Cummins for immediate diagnosis of an engine system fault alert, and provides valuable information that you need - within seconds.
In short, Connected Diagnostics allows customers to properly care for the engine system while maximizing uptime and equipment availability.
Since it was first announced in March 2014, Cummins has over 5,000 engines running Connected Diagnostics™ in North American medium- and heavy-duty truck markets, with multiple telematics providers. Expansion is underway to integrate Connected Diagnostics™ into the commercial marine, power generation, rail, transit bus, motor coach, construction, and mining markets.
